Stress and the Immune System - Managing Stress with Green Tea

It's not a secret that stress and the immune system are directly related to each other.

Long-term stress weakens your immune system and make you more susceptible to illness. This can lead to heart disease, stroke, and other diseases. You'd be surprised what stress can do to you so make sure you are taking steps in managing stress.

Stress is a highly individual matter - only you can decide whether a particular situation is stressful or not.

Luckily, there are ways you can do to manage stress. Start your day with a good quality green tea to relax your body and mind. This not only cleanses your system, it has healing properties as well. So, instead of grabbing a cup of coffee or soda, why not grab a nice, warm cup of healing green tea. Then, take some with you at work so you can take a sip throughout the day.

Green tea not only relaxes you but provides you with amazing health benefits such as lowering your cholesterol levels, fights infections, prevents dental cavities, gives you energy, assists in weight loss, and a whole lot more!

Also, limit your intake of high-fat foods, processed foods, alcohol, and sugary stuff.

Refined carbohydrates like sugar depletes your body of essential nutrients that protect you from the dangers of stress.

You can take a variety of nutritional supplements to serve as an added stress protection.

Vitamin C and B-complex give your immune system the fighting power it needs. They help prevent many stress-related health problems such as headaches, high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease.

Green tea has all the vitamins mentioned above plus all the minerals and antioxidants your body needs to cope up with daily stress.

Stopping for a minute for a cup of green tea helps counteract tension and anxiety. Green tea can soothe your soul, relax your mind and strengthen your body.

So next time you're feeling stressed out, grab a cup of nice tea, sit down and be introspective. Within moments, you will have greater clarity of thought and a clearer sense of purpose.
